Welcome to Year 6
Please remember to bring your bookbag each day, with your reading book inside, we have the opportunity to change our library books every week – our designated day is a Thursday. We really encourage children to be reading at least 4 times per week and logging this on Boom Reader.
Similarly, children must be fluent in their times tables upto x12, TT Rockstar practise will support this and we highly encourage regular play to improve the children’s speed. This is especially important for the children’s SATs later this academic year.
PE days are Wednesday (6RN outside 6GS inside) and Thursday (6RN inside 6GS outside) . Remember to come into school already wearing your P.E kit. Please can you ensure that long hair is tied back and jewellery is removed for these days. Please bring a healthy snack for playtime and please also remember a named water bottle.

HMS Belfast Residential 2025
The children had such a wonderful time on our annual trip to London. On the way we stopped via IWM Duxford to learn about military aricraft and the role of Duxford during WWII before we set off for London to sleepover on the HMS Belfast. On day 2 we had a fabulous day site-seeing and were treated to the Royal Guards parading down the Mall.
