We are very excited to announce that our school is taking part in the ActivKids Challenge on Wednesday 16th September, giving our children the fantastic opportunity to meet a Team GB athlete and take part in a fun and inspirational fitness event!
As part of the day, the children will enjoy an inspirational assembly focusing on health and fitness before taking part in a fitness circuit led by Sam Khogali, the 2022 Indoor Champion Long Jumper, who is currently training for the 2028 Olympics.
How can you get involved?
Sponsor your child to take part!
Sponsor forms will be coming home with the children today. We would love for children to get involved by asking family members, friends and others to sponsor them for completing the four activities:
- Spotty Dogs
- Leg Drives
- Press-ups
- Star Jumps
The children will then take part in the challenge on the day, completing the activities while helping to raise money for our school.
The money raised will be split between our school and the ActivKids UK ‘Unsponsored Athlete Fund’, helping to support the programme and future athletes.
Thank-you rewards
There are some fantastic rewards on offer depending on how much each child raises:
- Everyone who takes part receives a sticker.
- £5 – £14.99: A6 photo card
- £15 – £34.99: Signed poster
- £35+: Gold medal, personalised certificate and a photo with the athlete.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to be active, challenge themselves, meet an inspirational athlete and help raise money for our school at the same time.
We really hope you will support your child in getting involved. Every sponsorship, no matter how big or small, will make a difference, and we can’t wait to see the children taking on the challenge!
The children will have 2 weeks, to get sponsors and collect them prior to the event. Sponsorship forms and money will need to be handed in to their class teacher on Monday 14th September, to ensure the children receive their rewards on the day from Sam.
